When you become a patient and provide your mobile phone number, we collect and store your name, mobile phone number, and appointment scheduling information (dates and times). We use this information solely to operate our patient messaging program.
How we use it
- Appointment reminders and confirmations
- Replies to questions you text us (two-way customer service)
- A brief request for feedback after a visit
- Occasional practice updates (for example, office closures)
Text messages never contain diagnosis, treatment, or other clinical information — only scheduling details such as date and time.
What we do not do
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We do not sell, rent, or trade your phone number or texting history. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted only as needed to deliver the messages described above (for example, our messaging delivery provider). All other use categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Opting out
You can stop receiving texts at any time by replying STOP to any message. Reply HELP for help, or call (231) 468‑3777. Opting out of text messages does not affect your care in any way.
